World’s Smallest Park Certified by Guinness at Just 0.24 Square Meters

crazynews
A park in Nagaizumi Town, Shizuoka Prefecture, has been officially recognized by Guinness World Records as the "world’s smallest park." The park is so tiny that it could be covered by four sheets of paper.

Despite its size—only 0.24 square meters (2.58 square feet)—the park features a small wooden bench supported by stones, surrounded by tiny shrubs.

According to Guinness, the previous record-holder for the world’s smallest park was Mill Ends Park in Portland, Oregon, USA. The Nagaizumi park was inspired by Mill Ends Park.

Established in 1988, the park had been known locally as the "world’s smallest park" for years, but it was never officially recognized until now.

To obtain Guinness certification, local authorities hired a licensed surveyor to conduct precise measurements.

Viewer Comments:
Looks too small to relax—probably not very comfortable.
I bet there are even smaller parks somewhere in the world.
If it’s in the middle of the road, someone might trip over it.
