On February 16, a fisherman named Kim Sung-gi (55) from Gujwa-eup, Jeju City, caught a massive giant seabass (Ishinagi) near Hyangwon Cape. The fish measured 183 cm in length and weighed 138 kg. Kim initially struggled for about an hour to reel it in alone, but with the help of nearby fellow fishermen, it ultimately took four people to haul it onto the boat.
Kim explained that he unexpectedly caught the giant Ishinagi while fishing for red sea bream and was astonished. He said that in his 26 years as a fisherman, he had never seen one this large.. Ishinagi is a deep-sea fish that typically lives at depths of 400 to 500 meters and is rarely caught, which is why it’s often called the "legendary deep-sea fish."
The fish was later sold, but the exact price remains undisclosed.

Big! he’s totally king of the sea.
Pulling for an hour straight—fishing is tough work.
That thing is so big, it looks like it could swallow a person whole!
