157 Whales Stranded on Australian Beach, 90 Still Alive

In Tasmania, Australia, local authorities have confirmed that 157 whales have become stranded on the shore. On the 18th, the state’s Marine Conservation Program reported that the pilot whales had washed up near the town of Arthur River on the island’s west coast.Initial assessments indicate that at least 90 of them are still alive.

Authorities are currently evaluating the situation and formulating a response plan. They have advised the public to stay away from the stranded whales.

Experts warn that the survival rate for stranded whales is low. Once beached, they typically have only about six hours before their condition worsens significantly.

That’s really sad… they’re too big to get back to the ocean on their own.
I guess the only way is to slowly push them back into the water.
Six hours isn’t a lot of time to save them—this is gonna be really tough…
