A smartphone game called Push Off, where players race to tap notifications faster than their opponents, has been gaining attention. The game was introduced by its developer, Justin, on his blog.

According to Justin, Push Off was developed using React Native and Firebase.
The game has a simple concept: a single-elimination tournament is held once a day, and the winner receives a $20 prize.
Each match is a 1v1 battle, where players can see their current round and their opponent’s name. When a push notification appears at a random moment, the first player to tap it wins. The tournament continues until only one player remains.
Justin mentioned that developing Push Off took four months, followed by a two-month wait for Apple’s approval. While the app is still available for download, the service itself has been discontinued.
On X (formerly Twitter), many users are calling for the game’s return, hoping for another chance to win cash prizes.
