On January 19, a 47-year-old woman was arrested in Suita City, Osaka Prefecture, for hitting a motorcycle and injuring its male rider before fleeing the scene. The incident occurred on the Shin-Midosuji Highway.
According to the police, the woman caused a total of eight accidents, including hit-and-run incidents, over a span of approximately 35 minutes, from around 7:00 AM to 7:35 AM.
During questioning, the woman denied the charges, stating, "I didn’t drive dangerously, nor did I cause any accidents," and even claimed, "I wasn’t driving at all." No alcohol or other substances were detected in her system.

- 7:35 AM: Collided with the side wall of the Shin-Midōsuji Highway.
