Man Arrested for Attempting to Smuggle Cocaine Inside Christmas Card

crazynews
Yokohama Customs has filed a complaint with the Yokohama District Public Prosecutors Office against a 45-year-old designer for violating the Customs Act by attempting to smuggle a prohibited substance.

The man allegedly attempted to smuggle approximately 0.99 grams of cocaine, worth around $160, from Germany to his home via international mail on January 22 last year. Customs officers discovered the cocaine using X-ray scanners and a drug-sniffing dog. The drugs were concealed within paper fragments that matched the design of the Christmas card.

On January 28, Tanaka was arrested by the Kanagawa Prefectural Police’s Tsurumi Station for violating the Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control Act (importation).

They can detect even 1g? Drug-sniffing dogs are amazing.
He’ll probably be spending his next Christmas behind bars.
If he had a reindeer and a sleigh, he might’ve gotten away with it.
