While Waiting is a puzzle game where players experience various waiting scenarios in daily life, such as waiting for a bus, luggage at an airport, or instant noodles to cook—over 100 different waiting moments in total. Each stage offers interactive options, such as collecting flyers, petting dogs, or engaging in other activities during the wait. How players choose to spend their time is entirely up to them—they can either wait quietly or actively enjoy the waiting period.
The Steam store page describes the game with the phrase, "Doing Nothing is the Ultimate Strategy," which reflects the fact that players can complete certain levels without doing anything at all. However, they can also freely move around during the waiting periods and explore the environment.
