A trial was held at the Tokyo District Court on the 29th for pianist Kazuya Saito, who is on trial for stealing a flight attendant’s apron during a flight.
Saito, a promising pianist with multiple awards from international competitions, gave a bizarre explanation about his deep attachment to clothing when questioned in court.
When asked why he stole the apron, Saito stated, "I have an unusual obsession with clothing, and I feel a strong emotional response to it. I feel fear when clothes are treated carelessly. My actions were driven by a desire to protect clothing."
He denied any fetishistic intent, claiming, "I did not steal it for any sexual purposes. My only intention was to protect clothing."
According to the indictment, Saito allegedly stole a flight attendant’s apron from the aircraft’s galley in April last year. He admitted to the crime, and a search of his home revealed a total of 53 aprons.

An artist’s mind works in ways we’ll never understand…
Now I’m curious what his piano playing sounds like.
Must be convenient for him since he gets excited so easily, even in public.
