An American Airlines flight had to return to the gate due to a passenger's disruptive behavior. The passenger was removed from the plane in 2024.
The incident occurred on a flight from Phoenix to Austin. An eyewitness posted on Reddit that, before takeoff, a man who appeared to be hungover said, "Are you saying I'm rude? How does this smell?" before farting loudly. Other passengers argued with him, but he showed no remorse.
Though the plane was heading toward the runway, the crew decided to return to the gate due to the disturbance. The captain announced, "We apologize for the interruption, but we're returning to the gate."
Once at the gate, a flight attendant informed the man he would not be allowed to continue the flight. He quietly gathered his belongings and exited, with many passengers reportedly sighing in relief.
The delay lasted for about 15 to 30 minutes. The witness praised American Airlines for their quick response, relieved that the situation didn’t escalate further.

What a nuisance of a passenger.
Farting in a sealed space is pretty much a crime.
He must have overfilled the tank.
