According to Bloomberg journalist Mark Gurman, Apple may release a foldable iPhone, the iPhone 18 Ultra, sometime next year.
Gurman discussed this possibility during an appearance on the YouTube channel Geared Up, suggesting that a foldable iPhone, positioned above the Pro Max model, would be the most appropriate candidate for the "Ultra" name. Analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has also estimated that the foldable iPhone could be priced around $2,500.
Gurman had previously speculated that an iPhone with the "Ultra" branding could be released, even predicting an iPhone 15 Ultra. However, Apple has not yet introduced an Ultra model in the iPhone lineup.

Foldable smartphones seem like they’d break easily. Spending $2,500 on something you’ll have to replace in 2–3 years is a bit much.
