EU Includes “Game Controllers” in New Russia Sanctions Package

crazynews
On February 24th, the European Union (EU) adopted its 16th sanctions package against Russia in response to the ongoing war in Ukraine.

This latest set of measures aims to increase pressure on Russia for its continued invasion and supports the EU’s commitment to achieving lasting peace in Ukraine. The sanctions target key sectors of the Russian economy, including energy, trade, transportation, infrastructure, and financial services. Additionally, 74 vessels have been added to the sanctions list.

As part of the trade restrictions, the EU has banned the direct import of Russian aluminum, and the export of military-use chromium ores and compounds. Notably, "video game controllers" are also now restricted for export.

Game controllers have been included due to their adaptation for controlling drones used in combat operations. However, the EU has not specified any particular companies involved in the manufacturing or distribution of these devices.

Viewer Comments:
I wish they would sell drones that you can control with regular game controllers.
It’s funny how Microsoft and Sony are getting caught up in this.
They must be invading as if it’s just a game.
