On February 3, Apple expressed concern and strongly criticized the EU's digital policies after a pornographic app became available on iPhones within the European Union.
Apple has long maintained a policy of not allowing pornography apps on its app store. In 2010, CEO Steve Jobs even described the exclusion of porn as Apple's "moral responsibility."
This policy was overturned by the EU's 2022 Digital Markets Act (DMA), which mandates that Apple allow alternative app stores. As a result, one such store, AltStore, began distributing the pornographic app "Hot Tub."
AltStore claims to be distributing the first pornographic app on iPhone, but Apple strongly denies this, stating that they did not approve it. In a statement, Apple expressed deep concern about the safety risks such porn apps could pose to EU users, especially children.

They should just have filters to make sure kids can’t access it.
