Water Main Break in Detroit Freezes Cars on the Street

crazynews
A water main burst in Detroit, located in the Midwestern United States, causing a winter flood that left cars on the street encased in ice. Approximately 400 homes were flooded, and many residents have evacuated to nearby hotels and other shelters. The burst is believed to have been caused by an aging water pipe that was installed nearly 100 years ago.

This incident comes shortly after a similar event in January, when several water mains burst during extreme cold, also freezing cars in the area. At the time of the recent burst, temperatures were well below freezing. Local authorities are currently investigating the cause of the rupture.

This really shows how important maintaining infrastructure is.
It looks beautiful, but living through it must be a nightmare.
Having this happen twice in two months is just too cruel.
