A study from Oakland University has found that the more a man suspects his partner of infidelity—such as perceiving that his partner is too close to other men or suspecting that she is likely to cheat—the higher the concentration of sperm in his ejaculate during intercourse.
Researchers suggest this may be an unconscious evolutionary response, where the male body increases sperm concentration to enhance reproductive success in a competitive mating environment.
The findings were published in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior on November 5, 2024.

Sounds like it’s rooted in the instinct to compete for a partner.
Even the sperm are probably raging with jealousy.
I guess men secretly have a thing for NTR (cuckold scenarios).
