Indian Teen with Hair-Covered Face Sets Guinness World Record for “Werewolf Syndrome”

crazynews
On March 6, the official Guinness World Records website announced that an Indian teenager had set a new world record for the most facial hair density.

According to Guinness World Records, 18-year-old Lalit Patidar was measured to have 201.72 hairs per square centimeter on his face, earning him the title of the person with the most facial hair in the world.

More than 95% of Patidar’s face is covered in hair, a result of a rare condition called hypertrichosis, also known as "werewolf syndrome." This condition causes excessive hair growth across the body.

Since the 16th century, only about 50 cases of hypertrichosis have been documented, and the chances of developing the condition are estimated to be one in a billion.

Patidar has a large online following, with over 265,000 followers on Instagram and about 108,000 subscribers on YouTube. Regarding his world record, he said, "I am happy to receive this recognition."

Viewer Comments:
There are less than ten people in the world with this condition—he’s really rare.
I feel like he could actually live with a pack of real wolves.
He can transform even without a full moon—impressive.
